US West Standing Orders
It is with sadness that KARS Unlimited reports that US West has announced they will no longer issue pre-paid phonecards. There may be some private card agreements yet to be fulfilled, although US West sources say probably not. The Millennium phones will stay in place and will be supported with cards already in stock. There are no plans to support the phones when current supplies are depleted. Rumor has it, US West is negotiating to merge with an offshore telecom. If this merger occurs, the US West name and logo will not survive.As an early US issuer of chip phonecards, US West will always hold a special place in any significant collection.
